Nope, had a .22 rifle, semi auto 18 shot, long bullet, J C Higgins, bought from Sears Roebuck. I still have it if you want to come by & see it. My dad did have a 410 shotgun,Bay State mfg. (single shot) that I never used after I got my rifle. I hunted a lot with men that were my dad's age. Western Iowa is a big pheasant hunting country so you use a shotgun, well I used my rifle. When we went pheasent hunting I had to agree that if 1 flew up & the shotgunners missed I got the last shot. One of these guys always said that if I could see it & the bullet would go that far I could hit it.
Billiards, yea I was good at that, but Snooker (spelling)became the big thing. There were 3 of us that just were equal, you'ed lose a game or win a game. We did'nt gamble on it, it was just to see who could beat who. On Sat. night when all the farmers came to town we'ed have 10 - 15 people standing around watching us play. Thats what you do in a little 500 population town in Iowa. LOL
