Yes perhaps. And when they find themselves to have lost all their money they would surely have chalked it up to "bad luck" or "penny stocks are so risky" or "I made a bad choice", all the while, oblivious to the reality of the situation. And what is that reality?: That they did not, in fact, lose their money due to a bad investment choice but were instead, systematically and professionally robbed of their money.
