I'm pretty sure the increase was from surprises of the merger; in other words they found some other shares they weren't aware of. The company is NOT selling shares directly into the open market but some people who had free trading shares finally sold into the market which then became part of the float. But, hey, it will all work out. They have a very detailed / direct plan to "fix" the share issue.
