Uwink could possibly use a signature food item, like Chuck e Cheese = Pizza. uWink = ?

I see uWink branching out with InSite & Volante. I wonder how many other software Cos.' uWink can team up with. They can get into Bowling alleys, via- auto-scorer screen. The senior housing market will be big with the baby boomers. Was looking at Arbors Ct. in Lancaster. I have relatives in a huge retirement community in Summerlin, North Las Vegas NV. They were built awhile ago, but all they have is, an emergency alert system with flashing outside light. Could use something like Arbors Ct. has.

Of course you can't just mirror McDonald's to uWink, but it is a great role model. The differences between states are not as distinct as countries so it won't be as drastic, however, the ideas should be taken into consideration. I live in the Bay Area and as someone said earlier Mountain View must have some Asian inspired food. I think even much of the non-Asian population has grown accustomed to Asian food as they are exposed to it everywhere and inevitably try dishes suggested by Asian friends. (At least for the youth)

I have just finished an internship at a start-up web 2.0 company so I know about the difficulty of bugs and user-friendliness. People just don't use things the same as the people who created it.

The commonality between McDonald's is quick, predictable food. You most likely aren't going to walk away saying the food wasn't good tonight.

For uWink, there are many common things. Easily customizable food and drinks (though some reviews say this isn't the case), games to play while waiting for food, atmosphere with screens and projectors, and social interaction will be present at all locations.(though I'm skeptical on this aspect as to me it still seems very individualistic because with booths and tables with chairs it goes against social norms to approach people. Especially because people are in front of a screen in "computer mode." It may work better in a bar section because of the free movement and lowered inhibitions.)

Some people call it University here, too, but it sounds weird to me and a little snobbish as well. (Not implying you are a snob though!! =)

And lastly, we are probably all full of it, but who cares! What we say doesn't matter anyways.
