i have a stainless steel grill also. what i do is dilute winning colours 10 to 1 with water in a spray bottle. lets say you take a simple green spray bottle lol empty out whats left inside ,because we know we will never need that stuff again. spray the out side of the grill let it sit for a minute and then get a scrub brush and start going to town on it. winning colours will take off the brown discoloration in the back of the grill where the heat escapes. this stuff really works take some before and after pictures you won't believe it.

Burntwood-
I used Clean-1 on my stainless steel BBQ grill last week-end and it worked great. The interior grates and various surfaces cleaned up like a solvent was being sprayed on them, but the hands and ground didn't suffer any ill effects. The exterior cleaned up well, but some of the old discolorations from tree sap, pollen, water stains etc... did not come out completely, but it looked 100% better, and I was pleased.
My wife bought some of that aerosol "Stainless BBQ Cleaner" last year, and it did nothing!
I just got a gallon size Clean-1 from Pearsons yesterday, along with some laundry products, so I'm ready for a summer of cleaning! I also got Winning Colours from Hardware City yesterday. If you buy 4 or more, it comes to about 10 dollars a bottle freight included. This stuff is great!
