You are smart enough to know how little approval rating is correlated to how a president is eventually judged.

The most hated president in US history during the time of office was Abraham Lincoln. The riots nearly burned all of NYC to the ground.

The true damage to the US by Bush and his gang will be uncovered and felt for decades. But, History books will still speak somewhat highly of Bushie and Chaney though because the companies producing them will spin it that way.

Difference betwen Buch and Carter is that Carter at least spent his post-presidency years trying to improve the world. GW will amount to nothing after his presidency.
