Hard launch requires a contract for distribution of programming...
this requires both programming to be distributed that looks good and is desired...some in the can, some on the drawing board... the existence of some programming should be demonstrated June 1 during the "soft" launch... which is nothing more than sampling of proposed programming... and the unanswered question is will it look good and be desired...they claim the documentary was good... they have been working on this for some time and hopefully have this part figured out... but what is in the can and what is on the drawing board...?? anyone know??
...and evidence that the prospective new channel can furnish a sustained supply of said programming...that looks good and is desired...
...which usually requires one or more sponsors to pay for it...
...and a contract with one or more launch companies... some entity(s) that can broadcast the programming...
...and subscribers that will receive the programming material on their TVs...and who will pay for it...
