Lefty, interesting opinion. Did you ever travel in China? That country still amazes me. Last time I was in Hong Kong, it was for a Thanksgiving weekend, quite a few years after “liberation“. I expected to see big changes. Surprise! At Lucky Luke, old Chinese gentlemen were still having gorgeous “dim-san” at 7 am, sitting at Chinese Chippendale tables and talking horses in English, while studying the next race. Victoria Hill was still Victoria Hill and the former Royal Yachting Club still had the crown on the mast.
On Thanksgiving Day (?!), a huge neon Santa Claus dominated the skyline across the Bay and next to it, even bigger, a Madonna and Child. In Christian America we cannot afford that - the neurotic anti-Christian coalition would go ballistic!
We might open there a company: I’ll teach the “Frick-Fractal” and you teach them some “Renko- Shmenko”. They love to gamble. Just don’t tell them it’s Japanese...
