chrome - according to NVEI, once the prototype is completed they will conduct in house tests which will include testing the tech in real world conditions on a local live loop provided to them by a telecom company.
once those test are successfully completed NVEI will turn the prototype over to the telecom for them to conduct their own real world carrier trials ( field tests ). as per yesterdays shareholder letter these tests are tentatively scheduled for sometime this summer.
considering these facts it seems like your estimation of a few years to conduct beta testing should be revised to a few months.
