maybe the reason why no media is that they had the big media party last week or something, so it is over and done with... maybe last time was a combined thing... regular crowd plus media.
Just to add to point #9. I spoke with two of the entertainment directors about how the crowd has been. They both said that the flow of people has really surprised them for a restaurant that has only been open for a week.
Besides the free flowing booze (nursing a slight hangover), the trays of appetizers were really good. I ate way too many sliders and chicken skewers.
At different intervals, there was a steady crowd around the no touch screen outside the restaurant. People seemed to love it. Another great hook IMO.
So does this "Party" go through the end of the weekend? Did anyone mention if anything different was going on Saturday and Sunday?
Any idea if there will be a stream of PR over the next few weeks?
Even though celebrities weren't there, were the invitees a mixture of uWink investors, media and tech "big wigs", and maybe friends and family of uWink employees?
This sounds like a great orgiastic party...but was there more too it? I'm wondering if there is a specific underlying purpose to the chosen demographics attending.
