Supposedly, this is an actual conversation between the Canadian authorities and the American Navy.
It was reportedly off of the coast of Newfoundland.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Americans: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the north to avoid a collision.
Canadians: We recommend you divert your course to avoid a collison.
Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert your course.
Canadians: Again I state, you need to divert YOUR course.
Americans: This is the aircraft carrier USS Lincoln, the second largest ship in the Atlantic fleet. We are accompanied by three destroyers, three cruisers, and numerous support vessels. I demand you change your course to avoid our fleet or counter measures will be taken to ensure the safety of our fleet.
Canadians: I am communicating with you from a lighthouse that has the light out, your call.
LOL
Have fun,
Phil
