With respect to this lawsuit, has anyone wondered why JPT didn't use the $250k cash infusion to cure the default thereby turning a $176k curable default into a $2.5 million judgment? Was it the lesser of their worries? Do shortfalls in fuel surcharge reimbursements and a 10% (industry average) deadhead expense have them buying fuel and time with that money? After all, why pay a trailer lease if you can't afford to haul it? Am I missing something or might this get uglier?
