But Keef, every uploaded song they repeat will violate the copyrights of the artists. Did nobody think of that? The shows on tv pay royalties. Is the Kistler crew going to do that? I think not.
This is why it'll never be on any mass media outlet.
If all the material used is totally owned by the person entering the contest [ in other words original compositions] then according to the rules of the contest as I read them, the songs become VStarr/ADCS to use as they choose. If the material is owned by other artists, then royalties/use fees and license fees need to be paid out to the artist/songwriters. BMI and ASCAP handle that. It's pretty complex but any music attorney should be able to sort it out;-)
