Fact: Jack Binion is son of Benny Binion, Vegas legend. Worked with Steve Wynn to start Macau casino in China in 2006.
Jack sold his Horseshoe holdings in Tunica to Harrah's in 2004, now retired.
Fact: When you email Tunica Chamber of Commerce they state Myriad is still coming, they just do not know when. Everyone (including other casinos) agree Myriad is just what Tunica needs to expand. Tunica County is the richest county in Mississippi.
Fact: Mid South Fair (150 years old) is moving to Tunica as of 2009. Land donated by Mr. Wills. This will bring an additional 500,000-1M people to Tunica each year.
Fact: In a recession, people gamble more, not less. Tunica Resorts is a day's drive for 1/4 of the U.S. population.
Nick Lompardo is at the wheel now. Lompardo was banking darling of the 1990's in Massachusetts and later owner of "Spirit" baseball team (no longer). Steve, founder, is no longer with the company.
Seems a lot of pumpers and dumpers abound with this stock.
