1990 TARA Systems founded by Winfried Tiedge

1993 In Circuit Emulator, Compiler and Editor for Megatext, a chip for Teletext and OSD
IFA 93 Generator and recorder for the transmission and analysis of Teletext source data.
1994 Turnkey solution developed for data broadcasting comprising design and complete implementation.
IFA 95 Introduction of HiText with software viewer from TARA Systems.
1996 Development of user-friendly, menu-driven operation for high-end TV sets with a graphic quality hitherto unknown.
IFA 97 Standardisation and development of NexTView, the electronic program guide for analog TV sets and video recorders.
1998 Conception and implementation of a GDI and OSD development tool for Micronas M2.
IFA 99 Participation in the development of the new electronic medium TeleWeb together with standardisation bodies and leading companies in the industry.
IFA 2001 TARA´s vision: Enabling a seamless migration from analog to digital TV.

Today TARA Systems is led by its managing directors Winfried Tiedge and Alexander Wass and works with the collaboration of 15 engineers. Furthermore some students and trainees are educated and are involved in TARA Systems work.
