Wal-Mart, which accounted for about 28% of the manufacturer's household product sales and 35% of its skincare sales, represented some 34% of Scott's Liquid Gold revenue in 2007. For the same period, Rite Aid represented some 13% of skincare sales and 8% of overall revenue.
Expanding its ventures in chemicals, Scott's Liquid Gold partnered with Modec in a licensing agreement in 2006 through its SLG Chemicals unit to develop, produce, and market a mold treatment product. The resulting product, Scott's Liquid Gold Mold Control 500, is sold in North American retail stores.
