I had a question about options...uber basic.
When I buy a call or put...(TDA...which I believe you use also) I want to click the "Buy" and the "to open" tabs...and when I sell...it will be sell and to close?! The "to open" and "to close" are messing me up? Why would they have those tabs?
Let me try to illustrate my ignorance with a guess...I guess that when you write options, that would be like shorting a stock, so the to close tab would be required when covering those written options??!? But don't they just expire? Oh well...I will get on the phone and try to talk to TDA...ohhhh...TDA must have a webcast on options....
Have you seen the webcasts? They are pretty good for technical analysis...well for a rookie like me, that is!
