The guy who sends them to me is a King County Sheriff.
He use to be a motorcycle cop.
Back when my life was a mess I had a suspended license and he ended up pulling me over twice.
The last time he pulled me over we argued. I wasn't the happiest camper and I don't think he was having a good day either.
I was right in the middle of changing my life around and getting my license back when I was stupid enough to be in a hurry to work and get pulled over. Now I was in danger of losing my license for five years mandatory.
By the time I got to court it was about a year later and I had my license but could lose it again due to how they termed my last traffic stop. Can't remember details but I won the court case. Or should I say God won the court case would be more accurate.
As I was getting ready to leave I went up to him and put out my hand. We shook hands. I said I hope you and I can meet again. You don't really know the real Greg. I'm a good person who messed up his life but now living my life for God not me. He shook my hand and smiled and said hopefully we meet in better circumstances. I left the court room praising God that he let me go on with my life even though I didn't deserve to get off on technicality. Grace!
About a year later we tried a new church. I'm on my way after the service out to my car and I get this huge grab from behind on my shoulder turning me around. It was that motorcycle cop stopping me to give me a hug and welcome me to church.
At first I didn't even recognize him. They all look alike you know in those uniforms! LOL!
Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I wanted to cry.
Here was this man who had no reason at all to seek me out. Every reason not to seek me out. Yet he comes up to me and welcomes me with Gods love. That example right there I will carry with me to the end of time. I will never forget how he showed me Gods love.
We became friends and still are today. He sends me daily Bread every morning.
His one example taught me so much. Loving people with Gods love will impact them for a LIFETIME!
