The new beta site and the old site are frauds.

Today at the new beta site and the old site for that matter, I could not post new messages, read or send mail, or read unread posts. I did what you recommended if one has problems, I added investorshub.advfn.com and advfn.com as allowed/exceptions to Firefox and Zonealarm. I also had to use javascript.

Big mistake to the user. Doing so allows the below listed companies and others to sneak through your advfn.com connection to my computer (I watched because they are otherwise blocked on my machine). In addition, the two googles and the quantserve require mandatory cookies to read or post messages/mail.

usas1.advfn.com/oasis/oasisi.php?s=
pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js
http://edge.quantserve.com/quant.js
google-analytics.com

Drop the these companies. They are the worst spammers and anti-consumer data collectors on the web. And, drop the mandatory javascript. Javascript is so dangerous that one of the above companies installed a bullwinkle gif without warning or permission on another page of my browser. I was helpless.

By the way, I am totally open in my adsoff, firefox and zonealarm programs to post this message. I will not make this mistake again.

Anyone with this problem: This happens to me on IDCC board. Reading messages one by one, everything is ok. When I click to read the next 100 messages, the messages are really wide and I have to scroll to see the width of the message.

I tried 'next 100' messages on this board, and it was fine.

Weird. This w i d e message issue, was not a problem earlier today when I was on the site.

Help appreciated. Thanks.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: The state information is invalid for this page and might be corrupted.

Source Error:

The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

<%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>

or:

2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:

<configuration>
<system.web>
<compilation debug="true"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.

Someone else sent me a PM earlier today, and they were trying to view a message that they couldn't scroll over far enough to see it.

http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=29526023

I couldn't scroll over far enough to see it either on my laptop running Vista, IE7.

But on my old desktop running WIN98SE, IE6, I can scroll over and see it.

I don't know if this is something at your end or mine, but I'm using IE7 and when I try to open a page in a new tab, the page opens in the current tab.

Silicon Investor pages seem to open in new tabs OK.

When I use FireFox browser, things work as expected on both sites.

Growing pains, I guess.

I usually read IHUB from my PDA. Which up till now worked perfectly. But since the conversion I cannot read it. More specifically:

When I view (next 50) my PDA Blackjack Always freezes up.

That never happened before.
