",... Since when does the CUSTOMER validate a product which they have, or intend, to purchase?
When you purchase something of value, don't you expect that the OEM tested and validated that the product would provide the intended function for a period of time that would be satisfactory to the end user? (If you do not then we are back to the amateur topic)
