Hi Conrad,

Please let us know how the employees like their new Boss!

How does one calculate the "spread" on a stock that goes from Euro 0.01 to Euro 0.02?

Best regards, Tom

Conrad,

(and a "Hello" to all others, ... I was the one from the "Portfolio Control additions" email to Tom on the SI indepth-disc. thread)

I'm pretty sure Mr. Lichello would turn around in his grave when he hears us considering that stock. I know I have considered it. But I didn't step in. I didn't want to risk that little money I had on such a risky venture. I don't know if the company really is a pointless 'venture', I'm too much of a newby in the stock business to judge that.

But you are right, daily jumps from 0.01 euro to 0.02 and back is too beautiful, ... but it is also true. From what I read there is a gigantic block of stocks in demand (in the billions)at 0.01 euro, though. So, you'll be pretty much in the back of the line. I doubt you'll reach that level by buying up all the 0.02 stocks for sale. And wouldn't have that a counter-productive effect?

I'm afraid you were too late with stepping into AND, as there was a jump to 0.03 euro a little over a month ago. That would have been the right time to sell, me thinks. (see the AND stats on this dutch site: http://www.koersen.interplein.nl/fundamenteledatabase_A020/grafiek.asp?s=0&symbol=AAND) This jump was caused by a news report that the Euronext (stock exchange) demanded AND to perform a reverse stock split in the future (sorry, it's in dutch, link would be of no use to non-dutch readers).

Ok, enough of this pointless info, much to late for that.

Cya all,

Rico
