MAXJDA, It's very true that Mel Fisher has continued to find many items that where never on a manifest.

If you had done your homework, you would know that on SPANISH TREASURE SHIPS that have a manifest listing Treasure as a cargo, that almost always there was contraband treasure that others smuggled aboard the ship in order to not pay the King of Spains one fifth tax on that treasure.

So you see your point is kind of mute unless the manifest of the Scipion lists Gold, Silver or precious stones as a cargo.

That's the difference between experience and not having learned about treasure salvage yet.
