lc45: Friday release at 10 AM strikes a nice balance. You avoid the initial gap and have a strong session going into the weekend. On Monday, you'll have new money coming in to take shares from the inevitable profit takers, so the chances of a damaging gap there are reduced as well. JMO, of course.
