"B|+ch all we want, but, .... get used to it!" Unless Addax is putting on lipstick for the Prom. If that's the case, she'll sing, and sing loud, about her findings as she drills.

That's where most of my chips are... riding on Addax singing like an opera star.

CVX, tight hole or not, will be forced to either acknowledge the extent of OBO's success by buying Addax, or run the risk of a competitor getting them and all the knowledge attain in their JDZ drilling.

And in the midst of all the decision making the light will go on and someone will say, "Hey! Them feller's over at ERHC gots some purdy large rights in this here JDZ".

Cha-ching... I just hope we all live long enough to see it. LOL!

Anyway, my point is that Addax will be the first to go. When someone buys Addax, they get control over ERHE. Buying ERHE gets you the frustration of doing what Addax and the other operators say you can do.

P Sheperd,

I read today that the Brazilian State oil company, ( Petrobas ? ) has contracted PGS to do a 4D sweep of their rumored huge offshore Elephant Field. I am unfamiliar with 4D, but I suspect it has to do with the time element, thus giving slices of time 3D views or something to that effect.

P Shepard, I am under the impression that Addax does spend as much on the 3-D seismic analysis as any ot the major oil companies.

When I used to speak to an officer at Addax, he told me that their seismic of the JDZ blocks would be the best of all the companies including Chevron and Anadarko.

Addax has a great record in the exploration and production of oil wells because the company always goes for the optimal technical and engineering support.

P Shepard -

Addax is entirely sophisticated enough to accomplish what the "Big Boys" are doing.

Size is not an impedimant to the use of brain power and imagination. In fact the larger companies can be held back by the inefficiency of their bureaucracies. In fact, If a smaller company can't do the processing, PGS will do it for them. PGS is very good at it.

BTW - A time slice is exactly what it says it is.
In the old days, we had seismic sections which were vertical slices in time of the reflactions off of given formations. With the advent of 3-D we now have a cube of data which can be manipulated in any direction. So, the time slice (you can also do it in depth after you have migrated the data) will show how the reflections terminate against the horizontal plane that is the time slice itself. This will effectively give you a subsurface geologic map.

Cheers,
Larry
