I saw this post the other day and just now got around the reading it.....
Below is an exerpt and then below that will be a link to the entire article. I don't know that I'm wholly in favor of the article's recommendation, but it might be something worth considering.
I think the Cuba example could probably be duplicated in Haiti...importing food and current prices will not be a long term solution to Haiti's food shortages. Leading the culture in the direction of personal farming projects might be a pretty good direction to lead. It might be something to put some strategic reasoning into.
