America Asia Petroleum (OTC Pink Sheet: AAPU) announced the change of its ticker symbol from AAPM to AAPU due to the recent reverse stock split from 1:40. The decision to affect a reverse stock split was made in an effort to generate renewed interest in the company after the suspension of trading and to remove any control from those who could be possibly shorting the stock.

The management wants to make clear to all stockholders that any changes are to the benefit and protection of the company and its stockholders. America Asia Petroleum represents joint venture energy companies that operate in China for the North American markets.
