Crazybear - As I recall, the stock wasn't doing much of anything back then. (You can check yourself by bringing up a long term chart.)
But it's a bit like comparing apples and oranges anyway.
In retrospect, it's now abundantly apparent that back then potential investors couldn't envision such a radical idea succeeding.
But, now, with the advent of such things as people of the same sex marrying, it's equally clear that perception of success has flipped completely around, and it's more like investors can't envision the idea of a 24/7 gay television not succeeding.
Just ask Sumner Redstone (who BTW is probably loading up on QBID stock himself right now LOL!)
