#2042 RE: MMMARY #2030

You aren't hearing me.

The post you quoted has NOTHING to do with what I said.

You don't give a single fact about npct. Just claim that virtually all would say "that's a lousy company." That's not presenting information, it's presenting pure unsupported allegation. If you can't see the difference, then I guess you deserve to remain in jail.

then you accuse by alias four posters who you "know" are into momo jobbies. (For the record, I have no idea what a momo jobbie is, so you've presented no useful information to this regular investor, but it's clear your intent was to criticise them. I'm reminded of the trick we played in, I think third grade on first graders -- we would go up to them, look down at them, and say in a nasty voice "ooohhh, your epidermis is showing." )

Third, you have no idea what anybody's investment motives are. People bought Amazon when it had no earnings at all but millions of dollars of losses. And analysts were pushing it through the ying-yang. To me, that wasn't sensible investing, but nor do I think they were trying to steal pennies from unsuspecting fools. Buying companies with no earnings can be a rational, even if, in my mind, not very bright, decision. People bought dotcoms when they had PEs of over 1,000, or no earnings at all. To me, that's not investing. It makes no sense. But I don't attribute bad motives to them. Heck, I own some shares in a tiny little company which I think is likely to go bust, but it if makes it, it will make it really big. It's somewhat better odds than buying a lottery ticket. It makes no sense as a real investment. But it satisfies my need for a little danger in my life.

But you just go out without posting a single fact other than the allegation that these are companies without much income or profit (no proof of that, I notice, in your post), and then attack people who invest in them.

No wonder Matt jailed you for that post. I'm surprised he didn't toss you off IH entirely.
