More on Virata's recent merger... posted a few days ago on RB

Old news for many, but it was new info for me... I was looking back into the link between Greaves and NVI when I noticed that Virata, the company he helped found, had merged in late 2001. Hence the connection between our newest board member and NVI.

The interesting thing to me about this whole PR is summed up in one sentence.

The result is higher quality, error- reduced communications at higher data rates over longer distances.

They don't state how far they can go with their 52mbps.
