But, I believe that it was meme who stated, and I agree, that the multiple spouses should be able to collect Social Security if the other spouse dies.

First, I am one of those who wants to see SS go the way of the dinosaur in favor of private investment for retirement. That would solve the question all by itself. That being said, in a case of multiple spouses, and SS for a deceased husband, I would say they should have to divide it. After all, they all lived off of his one income when he was alive, so why should they be entitled to more than his one income when he is gone?
