on the politicial front, I think part of the problems we are having with the economy is one of geography, and lack of maintenance. We didn't check our oil soon enough.
The oil is scattered all over the globe from arabia to columbia, but the dipsticks are in Washington. They waited till the "check oil" light came on, and by then the economy was knocking.
