I basically have the same feelings as eris. I am not gay and don't have a problem with who you share for a partner. Why shouldn't you be allowed to marry, etc??

I've got no problem with two people entering into a social contract, lifetime commitment, whatever. But, as far as I'm concerned marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman. We debated this with 1100+ posts on the old PIMB.

As for benefits, such as insurance, I've said for years that the person paying the premiums should be allowed to extend coverage to anyone that person chooses.
