Dr. Moro has said that the cancer / normal ratio has been increased since the tests for the ISOBM were done.
This is just my opinion but I don't think that Abbott management really understood RECAF. Most all the tests today that are being pursued are DNA type, yes/no test. IMO, that is what they were wanting out of RECAF.
Dr. Moro has mentioned the extensive delays in getting things done at Abbott. IMO, there are just too many layers of management and anyone along the path can make a bad decision. I don't think management at abbott fully understood the potential of the immunoassay test and in fact they were wanting to dump all the immunoassay tests by selling the division.
We will probably never fully understand Abbot's actions. This is a really good test and as Ted said, we absolutely need the third licensee and the sooner the better.
