hi bee gee , looking for the location. i'm at the maps. i was in verdun and metz during my tour there. did france ever fix the roads or are the still in the manner as before? i did a lot of walking there as a civilian and as military. i couldn't afford a car there. i did a lot of bus trips and the country was showing the battles of ww1 and ww2. the algerians always were training there too. paris must have changed a lot. i'm going back about 40 years when i was there.
