I think your gas tank must have a leak! LOL I have a 2002
Toyota Avalon and get 28-29 on Highway.

Yep..western NYS mileage in all vehicles off 25% or more.

Had a discussion a few weeks ago..THey atre putting Ethanol in the gas by law..Gives crummy mileage

I'm also in the midwest. Toyota Prius tank averages 38-40 on winter gas, 48-50 in summer. 54 mpg is my best tank so far. :-)

Don't warm up, get in and drive... that makes a HUGE difference.

Sounds like sensor problems...take it back to the dealer .... or find a blog of other Toyota owners...I am sure they can help you out...Later

RACK..extended warm up is bad for the engine and milage of course. Get in and start the car, buckle up, do your mirror adjustments and drive off. With your first oil change go to synthetic. Free flowing even in very cold weather.
