longhorn0206 -- of course, these storms have owned this sky and real estate since long before we showed up and decided to live here -- and at least barring a Venus-type runaway or some other immense change in the atmosphere, they'll still own said sky and real estate long after we're gone -- there's always another day

we've only been here a couple hundred years, and only really had anything approaching coverage of the geography and even been trying to keep track for a hundred and some -- native americans have legends -- it could be that there are still certain maximal events that do occasionally happen over longer spans of time that we just haven't seen yet
