Say, "X", would you mind telling me ... do you smile? You know. When you read some silly, little thing on this board. Not the jokes, of course. Everyone must smile when they read THEM.

Oh. OK. I'll admit it. I'm wondering if you feel there's any humor in my nonsense posts?

I sure hope so. I'm not hot for those little "lol" things. As far as I can see they've become meaningless. All that's left is to strive to inspire a genuine a smile by careful word selection.

Actually, I've answered my own question. If I have to ask, they can't be very funny.
