IMO a R/S is not in our future, or at least there is no indicator that I have seen for it at this time. I'm fairly new to investing, but I cannot imagine a SHORT TERM scenario where a R/S would be beneficial for investors.
The Schedule 14C release stated an increase in A/S and not O/S, correct? So we DONT know if they intend to max the NEW A/S. We DO know that they mentioned why they are planning the A/S increase for:
1. "capital raising"
2. "the Company’s acquisition strategy"
3. "to ensure sufficient reserves of common stock"
4. and as a defensive move from takeovers (I've seen another company play the "defensive A/S increase" card before).
5. any other reasons I overlooked...hey, I only skimmed!!
Wasn't it only a month or so ago that everyone thought (and posted perpetually during that time) that AWYI was 100% debt free? And while they didn't eliminate all the debt at that time, wasn't it by issuing shares that they reduced it? Perhaps AWYI only wants an A/S increase to close any remaining debts and to stay debt free in the near future while we turn this puppy into a profit machine.
I have seen many companies of late with between 1 and 2 billion outstanding who seem more than comfortable with that level of shares. I know thats a very simplified observation.
When I see something like 3 or 6 Billion or more, I really begin to think R/S.
Assuming that DSN takes off, and AWYI is on the cusp of an innovate marketing trend, I dont think we would need to initiate a R/S. And while I really hate when people talk "share buyback", it IS an option for any company who has growth better than expected.
Anyhow, I'm rambling....Time for work...good luck to everyone!
Crash & Caddi...good to see you!!!
