Ted, that is very sad news indeed.

I am sure that all of us here will miss Airedale, Bob, very much. His level head and willingness to share his insight to the market was remarkable indeed. He was an example to all of us for how to interact with and respect others. My condolences go out to you and yours and to those who knew him personally.

Rest in Peace Aire, may you be with God and others like you.
You will be missed here.

Aire88bro

Bless your family and friends for their great loss. I am sure that there are wonderful memories to hold close for all of you as Aire possessed great talents, kindness and dedication as was demonstrated to all he touched through these forums.

Someone on a forum sent this to me last spring when I had a loss...

A POEM FOR THE GRIEVING...
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die...

Ted ... I am

deeply distressed to hear this sad and terrible news. I signed on today in the hope of seeing a post from him.

I have been meaning to send him mail and discuss some things with him and thank him for his superb work here, but just kept putting it off, and this upsets me to no end. It shows how important it is to say and do what is worthwhile and critical in a prompt way, because our time --- for all of us --- is unbelievably short.

Bob was not only exceptionally talented, but was so giving of his valuable time and showed so much class. We will all miss him here so very much. What an unbelievably sad day!

Ted,I just have learned on this board the sudden death of your brother. I am stunned, could not believe it at first !

I have exchanged very few mails with your brother on this board and on another yahoo group.

His positive comments on my work and my understanding of Hurst method has always comforted me to go ahead.

I have read and printed all or almost all what your brother has written on this board and on the yahoo group.

His unvaluable work has allowed me to understand " live " on current examples how to practice Hurst.

Ted, Your brother was unique.

Unique by his seniority and experience in practicing Hurst methodology.

Unique by his dedication day after day, years after years to publicly share his knowledge and his faith in Hurst's methodology with unknown people.

He seemed never tired, never bored to answer questions of newbies which had their answers on this board just by using the search function.

My condolences to you and your family.

I feel like i have lost a godfather or a benevolent uncle.

I'm terribly sorry to hear of your family's loss.

Bob had a keen analytical mind. And was clearly gifted in many ways. It's shocking to hear of his sudden passing.

It may mean something to your family to know that there is a large community of people out there in the world -- all over the world -- who feel like they knew him on some level, and will clearly miss him and his work every time they visit iHub. Not all of them post messages. There are probably five times more people that benefitted from his work than are posting here today.

We all wish to be remembered in some way in this life. Rest assured, Bob will be fondly remembered by many.

Many blessings to you all in this time of sudden sorrow. From today forward, we celebrate this special life and express our thanks for your brother's special gifts to all of us.

Ted, I grieved with him when Barron was gone. He was a tower of strength for me, when I lost one of my own canine kids. He started with

"it will be tough, but treat her as if she's still in perfect health. she'll sense that her family is well, and she will feel well. then it's time time to help her on her way. she needs you to perform the hardest act of love there is, helping her pass and relieve her suffering. - regards - Bob".

And when the end came, he consoled me with "Geo, i'm sorry for your loss. you made the right decision. had Mindee been a wild creature nature would have provided a cruel resolution. you provided a painless exit for her. never doubt that.

aire/bob"

He was a scholar and a gentleman. I am certain he still is wherever he is. The cycle shall continue for him. My best to you and your family & friends.

Ted, like most everyone on this board, I came to know Bob from the internet and never met him in person, but we did exchange many an email and every so often, we'd talk on the phone. It is so shocking to hear that he passed away suddenly of lung cancer and didn't even know he had it. Life/death is sometimes cruel in its suddenness, but merciful in its swiftness, if that makes any sense (from a cancer perspective). I just had talked to him on Feb 29 after the markets had a severe technical breakdown that day and he was upbeat as always. He was hoping to get in better shape to be able to take Bolt to compete in shows.

The thing that made Bob special was his tireless devotion to teaching and helping anyone interested in Hurst cycles and the markets. Over 25 years, he had been exposed to just about every king of TA, and really had found his niche in Hurst. He also had a great sense of humor and never let an ill-willed poster get to him if they attacked him. He would simply make a joke of it and move on.

In the end, he was a kind, unselfish man who was a great educator. After JM Hurst's death, he may have been the foremost Hurst technician on this planet based on the years of experience and time he spent on it, pouring over charts and periodically updated the commonality and CCA, looking at sectors, foreign exchanges, key individual stocks in key indexes, etc. He loved this stuff and most of us are here because we love it too. I will miss him deeply. My deepest condolences to you Ted and your family.

aire88bro~That is shocking news, and I'm very sorry for your loss. I will greatly miss airedale88, as I have followed his market calls for around 6 years. He was truly the greatest market timer I ever came across. As many have mentioned, his demeanor was admired as much as his market calls, and was easy to see why he was so good at what he did. He has passed on a wealth of information that will have an impact on many lives for many years to come. I hope the market makes it back upward significantly. If it does, I'll get to shake my head with a smile on my face and say, airedale88 was right again.

I just found out about your brother. although I don't come here so often anymore I was the creator of the precursor to this board (which existed on Raging Bull) and have known Bob since the early days of that board.

This is profoundly sad news. From the beginning he was a true "presence" both in terms of his understanding of the markets and his desire to share with others. Whenever I came back here I would look for his posts first...... I'm very sorry I never had a chance to meet him.

I can say without exaggeration that he made a real difference to my life. He introduced us all to Hurst and was ever ready to help us work with that system. It was this which, in large part, made my trading what it is today.

My profound condolences to you and all his family - he will be greatly missed.
