So tell me if I understand correctly. Certs were hard to get because there were so few 'real' shares out there, because the message board posters held all the float, and the brokerages couldn't come up with real shares.

Now etrade doesn't want your real shares. What's the conspiracy here? They don't want competition in selling air shares? Doesn't make sense. Logically they'd want as many shares for sale as possible to allow them to cover at lower prices. Maybe they already have boatloads of real shares to sell and don't want competition in selling for their bigger fish clients. That at least is rational.

Perhaps lowman will help you out. He was doing that back during the cert drive.

Even if you get your shares in an account and put them up for sale, I won't be buying them until I see more evidence that this pink doesn't stink. I've been bagholding far too long to add to the size of the bag.

Good information gtv. Thanks. Scottrade has never had any problem with Hemi. My broker said that Scottrade has a master list of securities they consider possible problem children and that Hemi has never appeared on that list.

gtv, did you happen to do what I suggested in message 30849?

I had no problem at all with the one I sent back so it is very odd, if you filled out the back correctly, that you would have problems with the same brokerage twice. You should mention that you know of others who have sent back certs to E*Trade with no problems.

That is SO wierd. I read on the board from someone the way to deposit shares. NOTE these were not shares of Hemi but another pink (NIMU). I snail mailed them to e-trade, signed and the back filled out like I saw here and in just a few days , bingo they were in and ready to trade. They are screwing around with you for some reason. What the heck is up with that?
