If you notice, there is a change in the Dallas meeting. Ray's name is no longer there. It seems that Ray will have surgery Wednesday, and while that is reason enough not to make the trip to Dallas, it leaves me feeling stuck out on a thin limb of a high tree. I have been harassing my brother and nephew for weeks to attend this meeting. This was our chance to talk to Ray face to face, to look into his eyes and determine for ourselves if we saw the same character that everyone else claims to see. Now I know it is urealistic for me to expect Ray to load up with percadan(sp?) and make the trek down. And looking a person in the eye may be more myth than fact in determining ones character. Nevertheless, I am left wondering. One question: how long has Ray known about this surgery? This last minute change as left me unsettled. I know my brother and nephew (Jeff P) will probably not make the trip now. I don't know if I will.
