I think you are being too harsh. From a business point of view, Barrett and Otellini made reasonable decisions. Unfortunately, things didn't work out like they had planned. In comparision to Jerry, they are sound and practical. But the biggest difference between them is that Jerry was lucky, they aren't. Now true, Jerry's luck was more along the lines of the bullet riccocheting off his Zippo than winning the lottery kind of luck, but that ain't so bad when you consider the alternatives...
