Opportunity, I do not agree that any of the studies done thus far can be used for any FDA approval. If Abbott goes for the 510(k), then under an FDA approved clinical setting, blind samples would be sent to different FDA approved labs. The data would then be unmasked and compiled for an FDA submission looking for identical results for the same samples. IMO, this method would not produce an approved cancer test, only a blood chemistry analysis.
What would Dr. Moro have been doing in Munich? The University of Munich was doing work for Abbott, not BioCurex. Petra Stieber, of the Univ of Munich, was the author of the collection tube study presented at the ISOBM. Petra Stieber is very highly regarded for her cancer studies and she may be doing additional studies for Abbott or she may now be working with Dr. Moro with the rapid test.
Dr. Moro has only one additional licensee spot available likely to be either Siemens, Ortho, or Roche. Siemens and Roche are USA based and Roche is a Swiss company so the trip was not likely involved with a third licensee.
If I had to make a guess, I would think Petra Stieber is working on some facet of RECAF with Dr. Moro where his participation would be needed for an extended period but that is only a WAG.
There are no significantly large sums of money coming from Abbott via milestones so progress done by Abbott is not the reason he is paying cash to Smithline. That money has to be coming from a third licensee. GS
