We're not talking about just depositing a stock certificate, we're talking about converting restricted stock to free-trading. I do not believe the info you cite deals with that.
The legend doesn't just automatically fall off according to what I have read, and I do think the broker can do that for you. But, perhaps they can.
I brought this subject up back in February and asked if anyone had dealt with this and not one person responded. I had a number of links at the time that talked about converting restricted stock, but there was no interest.
Perhaps someone that has actually done a round-trip with restricted stock can supply the correct information.
