Likely you remember that road rage and two finger salutes were exclusive to male drivers. Nowadays the greatest amount of speed, impatience, aggressive driving, verbal abuse and rage originates from the female side.
To top it all local authorities are in competition to create the greatest possible traffic obstacle course - opps sorry 'Traffic Calming Measures' down each street. Lumps, bumps, diagonal curbs, curbs out-stepping into the road adjacent to bus stops (so when a bus stops, so does the whole traffic flow) etc. etc.
The traffic calming measures work at least to the extent that traffic flow is exceptionally calm - a trickle at best and MPG drops from 40 levels down to 20 mpg or less.
I put in nearly $100 USD/week, and that's just gets my two to and from school.
