I think he toned that down a bit once he started on MSNBC. When he used to be on CNN he was a lot worse. I can't remember the name of the show but it was a debate type show.
I think shedding the bowtie softened him up a little bit!

No, not at all. He laughs at himself, too. For example, the other night he said, I don't remember in connection with what, "Yes, I admit that I'm an Episcopalian. Sure it's kind of embarrassing, but I admit to it"...
He's also pretty fair about people he dislikes who he feels are being beat up on for the wrong reasons.
