hey husk
i remember you from tmg. my old name was daaverage here. for mvp if you have an ira if you put it in interactivebrokers.com there is no 3 day settlement rule. you can trade the cash the same day so u can use mzz and mvv and you don't need to use mutual funds. just a thought. glad you are aboard. good luck to u.

Hey, Husk rings a bell for sure. Glad you are here.

Funny about TMG. I added intra-day stops very early on (I am surprised it took them so long to figure that out). I had so many tweaks to the system that I finally had to ask why they were necessary if the system was so good. I had an intra-day stop, a rule about when to pay for gaps and how much (way before they figured that one out I might add), a limit per signal, and then there were the intra-day signals that went against the primary signal. It was all too much for me and my life was starting to completely revolve around creating trading rules to fix tmg. I honestly think I had so many rules that a coin flip each day would have been just as good as tmg. Also, it was very expensive. They raised the price when they started doing well early on, but then kept the high price after it started to do poorly. I didn't want to have that battle. I have a lot less stress now with mvp. I don't have to tweak the thing to get it to work. I hope the tmg guys can get it working, but I can't follow the day to day grind anymore. Here are today's stats (annualized since inception):

MVP 91.7%
TMG 11.2%

I like McCain as well. There was no perfect candidate this time. I am not sure why some would rather have 0% of what they want than 80%. I think everyone is coming around now.

I haven't heard this argument yet, I am not sure why though: If the Dems can't figure out how to elect a nominee, how can we trust them to figure out the war on terror? At least the Reps took only 1/2 the delegates, which was a lot smarter. Now they are in a pickle as my 4 year old would say. :-)

...another point about tmg. This point goes for Timgingcube and other systems as well. There back-test results are great and then the live results go in the tank. MVP is different. It's live results are matching the back-test results. That's saying a lot.

Hey husk, I remember you too. My old CS userid was jmknarr. You probably remember slamminsam and morenmore. morenmore had a great system during the bear years and slamminsam had a great sytem during the bull years. I've always liked and followed Steve's mvp system too.
