See it is different 90 % of all of SXM's economy is based on tourism.. You would think if they were intelligent enough they would perhaps protect those who come here to spend money and enjoy the Island. I dunno about you but when I had someone come to visit me and I was showing them around... That rental car damage was a headache. Stuff like that puts a damper on the vacation....
Only place I do recommend to stay if you come to St. Maarten is the new Westin on the French Side.. The best hotel on the island..
