Anything is possible, I think they have to finally let the markets take the spanking they deserve, then put their big boy pants on and fight inflation. The only problem with doing that is that I'm not sure we can do much on our end to fight inflation since we are not responsible for it? If it's going to go, let it go but I'm not sure it will be all that bad on Monday but what do I know?

I won't matter for more than a day or two. Inflation is just about out of control now, and that's going to bite into consumer spending. It's a lose/lose now, and bernanke has already said they'll live with inflation to boost economic activity.

Recession would be better than staflation, imo.
