In addition to the mergers / divestitures you talked about, I'd offer two more:

1) Provide a $1000 credit to anyone who buys a Chevy Volt, and open, and make freely available, public recharge stations, with one opened with every x cars sold per normalized SAMA. Hey, how hard can it be to run some extension cords. Maybe a Starbucks, too.

2) Print money enough to buy the publicly traded stock of every health care payer in the US, and sell the businesses to the highest bidder, just like bandwidth / broadcast rights. Make sure the new owner is motivated to eliminate redundant systems and Management.

I figure that's worth, roughly, $250B per year, for as far as the eye can see. Enough to rehab Britney, 2-3 times too.

Why in Heaven's name would we take back California?

I've been purging a badmail folder of 3 years of spam mail for over a hour and haven't made a denrt in contents of directory.

I've removed 1 GB of bad mail so far.
